Not just Wine

Follonico Valley, 2025

The end of August symbolizes a period of transition, filled with cultural significance, environmental changes, and personal reflections. August is going towards its end, the yellow fields are longing for some water and the temperature dropped a bit  with some rain a few day's ago. The story of farm life, our farm life is evolving. Looking out of the windows of our room I (Suzanne) can see a different shape of the horse field. We are ploughing the land, because we are working on a new plan for a healthy biodynamic vineyard. Yes a new project is born! We are so excited to announce that we are going to plant a new patch of vineyard. A new milestone where to start from. It all started when last year we decided to look for the help of Adriano Zago. Adriano is a coach and farmer, an agronomist, a wine maker and an enologist. And he strongly believes and promotes the benefits of biodynamic agriculture in Italy and abroad. After a year of personal coaching to bring clarity in what we , Fabio and I,  wish for Follonico, seeking for our personal development, inside the project of Follonico, we planted the first seed . A vision to an extension of the experience of the house, and of the room that travellers book. Blending it with the land, to create a Follonico in depth.

The land will be a room to explore, enjoy and meditate on!

The land where Follonico is based on  has been speaking to us from the very early beginning of our project 2006 . It has many voices and we learned slowly to listen and to embrace the voice of nature. Not always convenient from the Human point of view.

After we are learnt how to produce healthy food in ways which are good for the people, the land, and her inhabitants, we now are ready to create a vineyard embracing the same concept. The earth is calling us, inviting us to explore new ideas, new visions. Together we wish to celebrate the beauty and magnanimity of Earth using its great source of inspiration. We hope to inspire all travelers which pass by, and invite them to celebrate together with us.
